Sway Trends Following Kanye West’s Confession That The Media Personality Was Correct & He Should Have Never Partner W/ Adidas, Almost 10 Years After Infamous ‘How Sway’ Interview

If Kanye West had a time machine he’d probably take heed to the advice Sway gave him almost 10 years ago.

As previously reported, Kanye West has spent most of September calling out Adidas and Gap for allegedly going against the terms of their business deals. According to the “All Mine” rapper, he recently ended his partnership with Gap, which was reportedly meant to last until 2030. In addition to Gap, Kanye West has also aired out Adidas – who he first partnered with in 2013 to help produce and sell his Yeezy line – for ongoing grievances he has with the company. While speaking on Gap and Adidas, Kanye previously said,

“It’s time for me to go it alone….I made the companies money. The companies made me money. We created ideas that will change apparel forever. Like the round jacket, the foam runner, the slides that have changed the shoe industry. Now it’s time for Ye to make the new industry. No more companies standing in between me and the audience.”

It’s ironic that Kanye is battling it out with Adidas over how he wants his Yeezy brand to operate because almost 10 years ago, in 2013, media personality Sway advised the entertainer to put his clothing line out on his own. However, during the now-viral interview, Kanye yelled back and said “how?!” He followed up with the famed line,

“You don’t have the answers, Sway.”

During a recent interview, Kanye was asked about the infamous rant and if he now thinks Sway was right for telling him to “do it on your own.” The fashion designer replied,

“You know what, I’ll go ahead and say, Sway had the answer.”

“I will go ahead and say that Sway had the answer.”

Following his latest confusion, Sway has become a trending topic online as social media users weigh in on the situation.

Sway has yet to address what Kanye said, but many people are urging him to profit off of the moment and release new “I have the answers” merch.
