Nia Long’s Ex Massai Z. Dorsey Says Ime Udoka Is A ‘Good Man’ & Claims The Actress Is Sticking By Him 100%: Every Man Needs Another Chance

Nia Long may not be ready to spill the tea on her relationship status with fiancé Ime Udoka, but the father of her eldest son, Massai Z. Dorsey, is pouring a cupful. 

According to Nia Long’s ex, the Best Man actress and Ime Udoka may weather the scandalous storm and stay together. 

He revealed,  

“We talk as a family, and it’s all about unconditional love, and that’s what she’s giving him. We’re sticking by him 100%.”

Massai  Z. Dorsey shares a 21-year-old son with Nia Long. They met on the set of her NBC crime drama Third Watch and dated for a year. After breaking up in 2001, the two continued co-parenting their son Massai Dorsey Jr.

The actor/businessman relationship with his son and friendship with Nia is what seemingly fostered a connection between him and Ime Udoka. 

In addition, Massai Z. Dorsey sees the suspended Boston Celtics Coach as a standup guy. Vouching for Ime’s character, he said, 

“All I could say is good things about Ime. He’s a good man. All these years. I’m happy he’s in my son’s life.” 

Massai continued by pleading Ime’s case and excusing his affair with the female staffer with a bible verse,

“Every man needs another chance. Like the Bible says, the flesh is weak. He’s not a bad guy. Hopefully, he’s learned from this.”

He also hinted that another powerful force might be at play, the #MeToo movement, 

‘It’s easy to get to the top, but to stay at the top it takes a different type of person. Right now, in this season, you have to be very sensitive with women, unfortunately, because they hold the cards right now.”

Nia continues to remain mum on the topic. The Single Moms Club actress who recently popped up without her engagement ring posted this cryptic message online:

“A tip for mental health…learn to distinguish who deserves an explanation, who deserves one answer, and who deserves absolutely nothing.”

Nia began dating Ime Udoka, who was then an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs, in 2010. They have been engaged since 2015 and share a 10-year-old son, Kez.

However, the relationship was called into question when Ime’s affair with a female staff member was exposed last month. As a result, he was suspended for the NBA 2022-2023 season.
