Kim Kardashian’s True-Crime Podcast Causes Controversy As The Survivors Of Kevin Keith’s Alleged 1994 Triple Murder Claim ‘She’s Trying To Free A Guilty Man’: She Never Called Us, Not Once

A brother and sister are claiming that Kim Kardashian is attempting to free a guilty man.

According to reports, Kevin Keith was convicted of murdering his ex-girlfriend Marichell Chatman, her four-year-old daughter Marchae, and Linda Chatman — Marichell’s aunt — in their Ohio home back in 1994. Quanita and Quentin Reeves, Marichell’s cousins who were four and six at the time, survived the shooting after being shot in their stomachs. The pair witnessed the crime and allege Kevin Keith is guilty. The 58-year-old has been behind bars for 28 years but insists he is innocent. 

Kevin Keith is the subject of Kim Kardashian’s Spotify podcast, which is an extension of her advocacy of criminal-justice reform. Kim Kardashian seemingly believes in Kevin Keith’s innocence and is using her podcast to share his side of things.

The siblings who are now in their early 30s said they weren’t contacted for information and were immediately shocked when the podcast came out on Monday (Oct. 3). Quentin, now a father of two, said:

“She did not contact us, not one time. If Kim Kardashian wants to get involved, she should come and meet us face-to-face.”

Quentin continued:

“We saw it with our own eyes. You don’t forget something like that. I don’t care what Kim Kardashian says – Kevin did it.”

He added:

“Why doesn’t Kim Kardashian come out here to Ohio? She doesn’t want to hear from us.She wants to get him out to make her look better… that’s the truth. “

Quanita insisted: 

“We should have been the first call.”

She continued: 

“Kevin gets to sit in jail and become a celebrity. Meanwhile we’re out here dealing with this our entire lives… it’s crazy.” 

Quentin recalled:

“It’s been a long time but I can still remember what the place looked like. I could draw it. That’s what makes it seem so hard. They don’t account for that. They don’t care how this makes us feel. He did it. I was there. How could you forget something like that?”

Quanita agreed and said: 

“It was Kevin. He came in, and shot up the place.”. 

The siblings described Kevin’s demeanor moments before the shooting to be “nervous.” They claimed he entered the home, asked for multiple glasses of water, and then retrieved a gun. They said he yelled for them to get on the ground and started shooting. After the shooting, Kevin allegedly fled and was arrested days later.

As previously reported, the reality star, who is training to become a lawyer, recently released the first two out of eight episodes of her new podcast titled “Kim Kardashian’s The System: The Case of Kevin Keith.” The SKIMS founder is hosting the show alongside veteran true-crime producer Lori Rothschild Ansaldi. The reality star claims Kevin’s case is “deeply twisted and incredibly heartbreaking from all sides.” During an interview with Kevin, the 41-year-old shared:

“I’m really hopeful for this podcast, just to get your story out there, because I think it’s so important for people to understand that… our system is so fucked up,”
