Flavor Flav Reveals He’s Been Sober For Nearly Two Years
Flavor Flav previously struggled with drug addiction for at least 18 years, and now the rapper is on the verge of celebrating his two-year sobriety from alcohol!
According to reports, the 63-year-old reality TV star stopped using hard drugs nearly 14 years ago and has slowly weeded out other harmful substances from his life.

On Tuesday (October 11), Flavor Flav, born William Jonathan Drayton Jr., shared a post via Twitter seemingly proclaiming he’s been sober from alcohol for almost two years. The hip-hop pioneer wrote,
“2 years sober next week. Ya boy Flav is not alone in dis journey. Thx to god and family and friends dat support me!!!”

Previous reports state the Public Enemy rapper celebrated his one-year sobriety from alcohol on October 19, 2021.
Last year, Flavor Flav shared an Instagram post proudly announcing he’s been alcohol free for 365 days. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer included photos from the beginning of his journey until now — and the difference is clear as day. He captioned the post,
“1 year up,,, lotz more to go,,, next year I pray my whole family will be walkin the same path I am,,,

Flav previously said in a statement,
“I appreciate everyone’s support as I continue one day at a time in my sobriety. I am engaged with a support group and staying strong and healthy so I can continue to focus on my recovery.”
According to Flav’s manager,
“Today, October 19, marks his official one year mark of no alcohol, along with 15 months of no cigarettes and 13 years of no hard drugs.”
