La Toya Jackson’s Ex-Fiancé Allegedly Stole $1 Million Worth Of Items From Michael Jackson’s Home, Including Handwritten Notes & Unseen Concert Footage

Michael Jackson’s estate is not playing about recovering his stolen belongings.

According to reports, a lawsuit filed against La Toya Jackson’s ex-fiancé Jeffre Phillips claims he stole at least $1 million worth of items from her late brother’s home. Reportedly, the 55-year-old music producer took advantage of the chaos surrounding Michael Jackson’s 2009 passing and made off with several of his personal possessions undetected. The “Beat It” singer’s estate is now asking a court judge to order the return of all the items.

Reportedly, the suit alleges that Phillips took a number of Jackson’s personal keepsakes from his L.A. residence. Some of the items reportedly include,

“hard drives, laptops, and iPods as well as CDs and DVDs believed to contain non-public performances and unreleased concert footage”.

Additionally, the suit reportedly accused La Toya’s ex of stealing Jackson’s,

“handwritten notes with bits of song lyrics, personal computers, cassette tapes, a photo album with Jackson on the cover, a black bag with a skull on it, framed awards and a Michael Jackson doll.”

One note allegedly written by the Grammy winner is currently being auctioned for $3,600 on eBay. Reportedly, the estate says they know where the items are in the suit and are seeking a judge’s help to have everything legally regained.

As previously reported, Phillips was initially hit with the suit back in 2021 after attempting to auction off the items belonging to the “Thriller” artist. Reportedly, the auction house La Toya’s ex attempted to use reached out to Jackson’s estate to verify the items, notifying them of the sale. They were able to retrieve some items but filed the suit to have the remaining things returned.
