The world was shocked and sadden when news broke that Chadwick Boseman had passed away on Aug. 28, 2020, following a private, four-year battle with stage IV colon cancer.
His widow, Simone Ledward Boseman, recently sat down with Whoopi Goldberg and, for the first time, shared what it was like to lose her husband.
Simone Boseman reminisced:
“I met this person who is this wonderful man and he then ended up being a global superstar and really after Black Panther came out [the fame] did kind of happen over night.”

She added,
“I can’t believe that I was so lucky. I can’t believe that I got to love this person and I also got them to love me too. … It has been the most challenging two years I’ve ever had in my life.”
theJasmineBRAND sends our love and well wishes to the family of Chadwick Boseman on what would have been his 46th birthday.
