Nia Long Opens Up About The “Devastating” Effect Of Ime Udoka’s Cheating On Their 11-Year-Old Son, + Expresses Disappointment w/How The Boston Celtics Handled The Scandal: They Made A Very Private Situation Public

Actress Nia Long and her family are still dealing with the aftermath of her estranged fiancée’s scandal.

The star of “The Best Man” shared how the situation has taken a toll on her 11-year-old son Kez, who she shares with Ime Udoka, during a recent interview.

Reportedly, Long says their son is from time to time ‘devastated’, stating:

“He still has moments where it’s not easy for him,”

The 52-year-old entertainer went on to additionally share why she feels the Celtics Organization is also partially at fault for her families hardship. According to the report, Long opted to pull Kez out of school the day she and the rest of the world found out about Udoka’s affair. As previously reported, Udoka, then head coach of the Boston Celtics, was suspended for having a consensual relationship with a subordinate staffer.

Speaking on the Celtics organization’s handling of the matter, Long stated:

“I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son’s face when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public,”

She continued:

“No one from the Celtics organization has even called to see if I’m OK, to see if my children are OK….It’s very disappointing.”

Since the affair went public, it seems Long has no plans of rekindling things right away. In a now deleted post, the mother of two uploaded a picture of what seems to be a new apartment with the caption:

“Thankful for the gift of new places and spaces” 

The actress also laughed off questions about patching things up with her longtime fiancée shortly after the debacle went public. Udoka and Long started up their relationship back in 2010 and welcomed Kez the following year. In 2015, the NBA coach popped the question, and the two have been in a long term engagement since.
