Tory Lanez’s Lawyer Suggests He’s Too Short To Have Stood Over Car Door & Fire Shots At Megan Thee Stallion
Closing arguments in the Megan Thee Stallion vs. Tory Lanez shooting case are underway.
Reportedly, Lanez’s lawyer believes the rapper’s tiny stature is a credible reason why his client should be ruled out as the shooter.

Reporter Meghann Cuniff, who has been actively sharing updates about the trial, shared some of the final words from the Canadian musician’s defense. Via Twitter, she wrote:
“There was a light moment for Tory Lanez today during his lawyer’s closing – Mgdesyan referenced his height, saying he’s “what, 5-foot-2” and “I don’t even know if he can get over the door to shoot.” Lanez laughed for a bit over that one.”

Cuniff followed up with another update regarding the jurors. The reporter stated that six members of the panel, all women, didn’t seem amused by the legal professional’s jokes. She continued:
“My gallery seat this afternoon gave me a view of the six jurors who are seated on the right side of the jury box when they’re facing the well of the court, and each is a woman who seemed to have quite a stony expression as Mgdesyan spoke. They didn’t appear to think he was funny.”

Since the trial began earlier this month, many surprising and not-so-surprising moments have come to light. As previously reported, Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, 30, is facing three felony charges for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion, born Megan Pete, 27, back in 2020.
The “Savage” artist’s ex-BFF Kelsey Nicole Harris, 27, was present during the shooting. Despite previously telling prosecutors Lanez did in fact shoot Megan, Harris plead the 5th during the trial. Reportedly, the social media influencer was granted immunity and claimed not to recall many things from that evening, nor many things she previously told prosecutors.

Megan’s bodyguard Justin Edison was also set to take the stand. Edison would reportedly testify that Lanez confessed to the shooting in a guilt-riddled apology the following day. However, the professional protector disappeared days before his scheduled court appearance. Reportedly, LAPD is actively searching for his whereabouts.

Hairstylist EJ King also took the stand as a defense witness and testified that his client, Megan Thee Stallion, becomes a different person when drinking. The hairdresser faced backlash for seemingly making light of the situation. However, King claims he only showed up to share his truth, and denies making fun of Megan’s trauma.

Lanez’s lawyer also ended his argument, claiming that the prosecution’s case is “full of holes and speculation.” Reportedly, the defense is hoping to place reasonable doubt in the jurors’ minds and have the entire case dismissed. The report adds that a verdict is expected within days.
