T.J. Holmes Files For Divorce From Estranged Wife Marilee Fiebig Amid Amy Robach Affair
It looks like T.J. Holmes will be a single man soon, at least legally speaking.
According to new reports, “Good Morning America” anchor T.J. Holmes has filed for divorce from his wife Marilee Fiebig in New York City on Wednesday (Dec. 28.). The couple’s split comes two days after T.J. Holmes was reportedly spotted at an Atlanta airport with ABC news reporter Amy Robach.
This development follows after paparazzi captured the journalist getting close to Amy Robach, 49, on numerous occasions in November.
As previously reported, the alleged couple made headlines after news broke that they were having an affair. Images went viral online of the pair holding hands in a car and enjoying drinks at a bar. One picture even showed Holmes touching his colleague’s butt as she puts items in the trunk of a car. A source said:
“They always had a spark and their work trips away together brought them even closer.”
The pair have been working together since the fall of 2020 when they headlined “GMA3: What You Need to Know,” both reporters were married at the time. The insider noted that Robach and Holmes, 45, “have been trying to keep their relationship a secret until they were ready to announce.”
Holmes tied the knot with Marilee Fiebig in 2010, three years after leaving his ex-wife Amy Ferson. Fiebig and Holmes share one child together, daughter Sabine. The media personality shares 2 more children, Brianna and Jaiden, with his first wife.
Holmes previously bragged about life as a family man over the years. He said:
“My family and I are closer, my individual net worth has gone up every year since we met, I’ve learned a second language, I’m healthier, I use the N-word less, I listen to Sunday church service more, I’m a better friend, I’m more forgiving than I used to be, I’m more involved in charitable work.”
In 2014, Holmes wrote:
“In every way, I’m better off because I’m married. So, for me, a successful marriage has revolved around this principle: I like who I am with her.”
Six years later, the CNN correspondent doubled down on those comments, while reflecting on his marriage to Fiebig amid their 10th anniversary. He said:
“Asking her for another 10 years would be asking too much. Another 10 months? That may even be a stretch. If she gave me another 10 weeks, I should consider myself lucky. If she puts up with me another 10 days, I’d be grateful.”
He added,
“But if she would even spare another 10 minutes of her time for me today, I should consider myself blessed. This is MARILEE FIEBIG HOLMES, y’all. And I, T. J. Holmes, do solemnly swear … that I …. was HER #decadechallenge.”
In Robach’s case, she married Andrew Shue in 2010, two years after leaving her first husband Tim McIntosh, with whom she shares daughters Ava, 19, and Analise, 16.
