Update: (Dec. 4, 2022): Looks like the shiny present Cher got on Christmas was more than just a promise ring.

According to RadarOnline, as many suspected, Cher and Alexander “AE” Edwards are now engaged!

An insider shared with the publication,

“The wedding will be cheap as they plan to elope. After they are married, I can see them throwing a big expensive Hollywood party — but the wedding itself will be simple.”

The ring that initially sparked the engagement rumors was pretty expensive and has allegedly been valued at $250k. A source shared that the music producer “bought the ring out of his own money.”

An insider close to the alleged engaged couple also noted that Cher is completely unbothered by the naysayers.

“She has never cared about what other people say and knows the 40-year age difference will upset everyone — including members of her own family. But that has never stopped her before — and won’t stop her now!”

Legendary singer Cher, 76, and boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards, 36, are definitely the couple we should be watching at the moment. The love birds confirmed their relationship only a month ago but things between them are getting serious, very fast. On Christmas morning, Cher took to Twitter and shared with her 4 million followers a huge rock that was gifted from AE. She posted an image of a massive teardrop-shaped center diamond surrounded by a band of smaller diamonds sitting pretty in a black velvet jewelry box.

It’s unclear if the gift is simply a nice Christmas present or an engagement ring. However, Cher thanked her boyfriend (possibly fiancé) for the seemingly pricey accessory. She captioned the stunning post,

“THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E”

Despite not clarifying the significance behind the ring, Cher did explain that she shared the news of the gift online because she wanted the world to see her boyfriend’s “cool” nails, as he’s the one holding the ring box in the image. In a follow-up tweet, she said,

“I posted this cause his nails are so cool”

Wedding bells being in the future for the couple probably shouldn’t come as a shock. Radar Online recently reported that Cher is madly in love and more than ready to tie the knot with AE. An insider shared with the publication,

“Cher is head over heels in love. She knows she doesn’t have much time left anymore to find ‘the one’ and after two failed marriages and countless disastrous boyfriends, this could be her last chance and she isn’t going to let it pass her by.”

Another source noted that Cher “isn’t stupid” and if the pair does make it down the aisle there will be an iron-clad prenuptial agreement in place. They continued,

“Of course, her friends are worried. Whenever there is a 40-year-old and $400 million gap between two people, you have concerns!”

As you may recall, AE was previously romantically tied to model/socialite Amber Rose, 39. The former couple shares one child together and broke up after Rose accused the music executive of being a serial cheater.
