‘The View’ Co-Host Sunny Hostin Gets Honest About Her Decision To Have Breast Reduction & Liposuction: Now I Prance Around Nude All The Time At My House
Sunny Hostin is prioritizing her health and self-care.
The co-host of The View recently shared in an interview that she feels like a better version of herself as a result of having liposuction, a breast lift, and a breast reduction last summer. Her decision to have these procedures came after years of suffering from back pain and issues with her body image.
Sunny Hostin said,
“I thought I would feel shame, like, ‘Oh my God, I’m doing plastic surgery like all these crazy celebrities.’ But I don’t feel shame at all. And I hope sharing my story will help more people. If they’re feeling so body-conscious, the way I was — they can do what they need to do to feel better.”
The mother of two claimed she initially experienced self-consciousness as a young child growing up in New York City. She had a double-D breast size by the time she was 16. Her body image struggles persisted following the birth of her son Gabriel, 20, and daughter Paloma, 16, with husband Emmanuel Hostin.

Sunny Hostin continued,
“I couldn’t imagine my breasts would get bigger with childbirth — however, they did.”
Last April, as Hostin was getting ready for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, the trigger for her surgeries finally struck when she zipped up her Toni Maticevski gown — only to find that the bra didn’t fit. She was forced to wrap her chest in masking tape just to get by.
“I was crying. I sat there and didn’t eat anything. I couldn’t lift my hand because my boobs were going to fall out. [Musical group] Bell Biv DeVoe wanted to take a picture with me. I was like, ‘Oh God, they’re going to have these pictures of my boobs hanging out.'”
Hostin, horrified, made an appointment with Dr. Ryan Neinstein, a plastic surgeon in New York City, and Dr. Anna Steve, a breast surgeon, right away. In addition to the breast lift and reduction, she also had liposuction on her chin and waist on Aug. 22, 2022.

The TV personality acknowledged that the aftercare of the procedure — which took her from a G-cup to a C-cup — isn’t glamorous, but she has no regrets. She hired a private nurse to help her throughout her two-week-long rehabilitation at home, which included drainage tubes to avoid blood and fluid buildup for three days, as well as minimal scarring.
Hostin said,
“Now I prance around nude all the time at my house — I feel great. I don’t know, you may see me naked on The View!”
She added,
“And I’m so happy.”
