Last April, Randy Gonzalez broke the unfortunate news about his sudden fight with the disease, detailing the three-year lifespan he’d been given at the time of his six-month diagnosis.
The Texas-based content creator said:
“I [have an] announcement to make, and it’s not good. Six months ago–I don’t even know how to say this–but six months ago, I got diagnosed with stage four cancer. Colon cancer.”
He continued,
“I kept it to myself, and I felt like it was selfish because I didn’t want to tell everybody my business because it was personal. But I feel like I can use my situation, you know, to give awareness for young men, like myself, because I’m only thirty-four. And they said it’s very rare for a young guy, like myself, to catch colon cancer. So, I want to do awareness. But that will answer a lot of y’all’s questions [about] why I lost a lot of weight in such a little time.”
Gonzalez then reflected on the mental state he was in after learning about the life-altering illness.
“They diagnosed me with colon cancer, and the doctor said I had two to three years to live. And he said, with chemo, I’ll have five years to live. And, you know, I didn’t know how to take it. You know, it was devastating.”
Following the announcement, this past December, Gonzalez provided his supporters with an update, where he explained that his chemotherapy treatments weren’t working properly.
“A lot of people asking how am I doing and how my treatments going. It’s going good; except, I have to change my chemo because it’s not working right now, but I do feel good.”

Randy Gonzalez with his wife, Kimberly, and three children: Aubree, Lauren, and Brice
The Enkyboys comprised Gonzalez and his son, Brice, who famously rose to prominence on TikTok. Together, the iconic pair garnered over 15 million followers on the short-form video platform. They were most known for their hilarious reenactments of voiceovers from classic movie scenes and viral songs.
Prior to the 35-year-old’s passing, little Brice landed a spot on NBC’s ‘Lopez vs. Lopez.’
Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Randy Gonzalez.
