Rapper 2 Chainz Finds Late Father’s Hidden Cash Stash In His Basement
2 Chainz (real name Tauheed Epps) is a tad bit richer.
The “Mercy” rapper recently had a pleasant surprise when he discovered his late father’s old cash stash in his basement while having a leaky pipe repaired.
In a story uploaded on Wednesday (Jan. 25) to his 11.8 million Instagram followers, the Atlanta father-of-three sorts through what appears to be hundreds of rolled-up bills in a birthday bag as more cash is spread out on the table next to the bag.
Tity Boi said,
“Quick story. I had a busted pipe in the basement. They fixed my basement and they found…I guess this is my pops old stash of cash.”

In 2012, while 2 Chainz‘s solo career was about to take off, his father passed away. He told XXL in March of last year that his hustler’s mentality came from his parents. 2 Chainz said,
“My daddy sold bricks and he sold weed. My mama’s mama, she was a bootleg lady. My mama was into real estate when I was young. My daddy never had a job. I never remember him getting up early. I never remember him complaining about being in traffic from coming home late from work. I don’t remember none of that. I remember Cadillacs and I remember my uncle having plenty of jewelry.”
