Rihanna – Fans Claim Singer Was ‘Robbed’ After Losing Oscar For ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Original Song
Rihanna gave a beautiful performance during the 95th Academy Awards, but she, unfortunately, ended the night without taking home an award.
As previously reported, earlier this year Rihanna was nominated for her very first Academy Award for her song, “Lift Me Up.” The moving track served as the leading single from the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ soundtrack and was made as a tribute to the late actor Chadwick Boseman.
In addition to Rihanna, the single was written by Nigerian singer Tems, Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson, and ‘Black Panther’ director Ryan Coogler — who were all nominated for the award alongside the “Woo” singer.

Other songs nominated in the category were “Applause,” from “Tell It Like a Woman,” “Hold My Hand,” from “Top Gun: Maverick,” “This Is a Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” and the winning track “Naatu Naatu” from “RRR.”
Despite not winning, Rihanna still had a busy night. On top of being nominated, she also gave an amazing performance of “Lift Me Up.” The soon-to-be-mother-of-two looked stunning in an all-black outfit with silver accents.

As expected, many people have taken to Twitter to address Rihanna’s loss and performance.
One Twitter user pointed out how happy Rihanna’s boyfriend A$AP Rocky was to see her on stage.
“If your man doesn’t look at you the way ASAP looks at Rihanna, dump him.”

Other users weighed in, with some fans claiming Rihanna was robbed.
