Amanda Bynes Ready To Get Back To Her Day-To-Day Life After Being Released From Hospital Following Psychotic Episode
Amanda Bynes has reportedly been released from a mental health hospital after weeks of treatment following a psychotic episode.
According to reports, the former “Amanda Show” star was released from the facility in Southern California on Monday (April 10). Her release comes after both Amanda Bynes and the medical team determined she was ready to get back to her day-to-day life.
Reportedly, the 37-year-old actress will begin outpatient treatment to ensure she stays on the right track and will work with doctors and medical specialists for the help that she needs. She will also live in her own home in an effort to maintain much of the independence she earned after 9 years in a conservatorship.
As previously reported, Amanda Bynes was placed on a psychiatric hold after she was found roaming the streets of Los Angeles naked and alone.
According to an eyewitness, Amanda was seen walking near downtown Los Angeles in the early morning on Mar. 19 without any clothes. Amanda, who has bipolar disorder, allegedly waved a car down and told the driver she was coming down from a psychotic episode.
The troubled star then called 911 on herself and was taken to a nearby police station, where a mental health professional reportedly determined she needed to be placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold. Reportedly, a 5150 hold lasts 72 hours, however, Amanda’s psych hold was extended while she and the medical team worked to get her back on track.
