Koko Da Doll, “Kokomo City’s” Transgender Star, Shot And Killed In Atlanta [CONDOLENCES]
Koko Da Doll, known for starring in “Kokomo City”, was found dead in Atlanta on Tuesday (Apr. 18). Reportedly, the transgender woman – real name Rasheeda Williams – was shot and killed shortly before 11 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Atlanta Police Department issued a statement following the death of the 35-year-old:
“Homicide investigators responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.”
Koko Da Doll appeared in “Kokomo City”, an award-winning documentary focusing on four Black transgender sex workers –Koko, Daniella Carter, Liyah Mitchell and Dominique Silver. The women are candid about their life stories while living in New York City and Atlanta. The film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
After Koko Da Doll’s death made headlines Sundance Film Festival took to Twitter on Thursday (Apr. 20) to mourn the rapper:
“We are saddened to hear about the death of Rasheeda Williams aka Koko Da Doll. We were honored to have her at the Festival this year with KOKOMO CITY, where she reminded Black trans women, “we can do anything, we can be whatever we want to be.” It is a tragic loss.”
