Matt Barnes Seemingly Threatens To Expose Ex-Wife Gloria Govan Amid Ongoing Battle Over Child Support Payments: ‘I’ll Be Sure To Tell Your Husband Why You Really In Your Feelings’
The tumultuous co-parenting situation between Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan continues to blow up.
In recent news, the exes are reportedly in the midst of a court battle over an alleged six-figure back child support check.
According to a report from RadarOnline, Gloria Govan, 38, filed a suit against her ex-husband Matt Barnes, 43, claiming he abruptly stopped sending her court order child support payments. The former pair divorced back in 2015 following two years of marriage and share twin 14-year-old sons. Reportedly, Barnes was supposed to be forking over $7,000 monthly. It’s noted in the report that the number was reduced from the $20,000 he was initially ordered to pay before retiring from the NBA.
Reportedly Barnes responded publicly to the suit, asking a judge to throw the case out because he never received notice about the missed payments. According to him, Govan was using an email he no can no longer access to send him documents. Additionally, he reportedly added that even when speaking directly to the TV personality she never mentioned anything about a case. However, the “Basketball Wives” alum reportedly submitted email proof that her former lover was not being honest.
Reportedly, Govan subsequently shared emails with the court judge showing how Barnes responded with threats to the suit. One email reportedly read:
“Got the letter from you lawyer, filled with lies. You take this any further & I’ll be sure to tell your husband & everyone else why you really in your feelings.”
While the other reportedly added:
“Since you’ve bought a weak a—20 dollar an hour lawyer into the mix, we can play this however you like. Just remember …”
Reportedly, Govan claims she’s owed around $133,000 in back child support payments. However, Barnes reportedly claims that number can’t be accurate as they verbally agreed amongst themselves to lower the payments to $4,000 monthly. It’s noted that Govan did not deny the verbal agreement they made. A ruling has yet to be decided on the case at this time.
