Issa Rae Reveals Fear Of Getting Pregnant: ‘I Don’t Want To Be Slowed Down For Any Reason’
Issa Rae isn’t planning on popping out babies any time soon.
In a new interview with radio host Big Tigger at the Big Tigger Morning Show, actress Issa Rae, 38, shared her views on having children at the current stage of her life. During their conversation, the Insecure star revealed that getting pregnant is a “fear” for her because it could impact her career.

She said,
“I don’t want to be slowed down for any reason. And, my friends are like, ‘Girl, it’s not gone slow you down it’s fine.’ But I don’t believe them.”
Fans have since begun to weigh in on the entertainer’s remarks via Instagram comments. Many social media users appear to agree with Issa Rae’s sentiments on the struggle of balancing a career and motherhood.

You may recall, the media mogul previously called out fans for spreading pregnancy rumors last year. In March of 2022, she took to Twitter to tell her supporters that she is not expecting her first child. Pregnancy speculation started circulating following a red-carpet event. She tweeted,
“I am not pregnant, f-cky—verymuch.
LET A B-TCH EAT DRINK AND BE MERRY.”

As previously reported, Rae is now married and living life with her husband Louis Diame. The two made it official in France in July 2021. She previously stated that she’s extremely happy in her marriage and wants to do as much as possible for herself for the time being.
