Chrissy Teigen & John Legend’s Surrogate Speaks Out After Giving Birth To Their Baby Boy: ‘Thank You For Choosing Me‘

Surprise! Chrissy Teigen has announced she and John Legend secretly welcomed baby number 4 via surrogate.

The couple shocked their Instagram followers as they made the big reveal on Wednesday (June 28). In a lengthy post, Chrissy Teigen shared the news as well as some photos of her newborn son, Wren Alexander Stephens. 

Teigen began the lengthy post,

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four children.”

According to the model, she and her husband began pursuing surrogacy as an option in 2021 just before she was pregnant with their daughter Etsi. Soon after, they met their “perfect match” surrogate, Alexandra.

“All our wishes and dreams aligned. I wanted to be her friend, I wanted our children to play, I wanted dinner together, I wanted to lay my head on her belly and be able to feel the hiccups and kicks. I wanted them to be in our lives.”

While the couple’s first embryo transfer with Alexandra did not survive, they were “overjoyed” to learn that she later had become pregnant with a little boy. In the comment section of Teigen’s post, Alexandra thanked the famous couple for picking her to carry their baby. She reportedly said,

“Thank you for choosing me [red heart emoji] For making this whole experience so wonderful. For loving me and my family whole heartedly. It was truly an honor bringing perfect Wren into the world with you right by my side [red heart emoji].”

Teigen also shared that the beautiful baby was born on June 19, just 5 months after they welcomed their daughter Etsi, who was born two years after the couple lost their son Jack.

Teigen and John legend revealed in Sept. 2020 that they lost their son Jack at 20 weeks as a result of a pregnancy complication.

Fast forward to today, Chrissy Teigen is incredibly thankful for their surrogate.

She added,

“We want to say thank you for this incredible gift you have given us, Alexandra. And we are so happy to tell the world he is here, with a name forever connected to you, Wren Alexander Stephens. Our hearts, and our home, are officially full. And to our Jack, we know both their angel kisses are from you.”

John Legend also took to his Instagram to celebrate the birth of his newborn son.

He expressed,

“Wren Alexander Stephens, our new love.”

The Cravings cookbook author, 37, and the EGOT winner, 44, have been married since 2013 and share three other children together: son Miles, and daughters Luna and Etsi.
