Madonna Postpones Tour After Being Hospitalized For ‘Serious Bacterial Infection’
Madonna is taking a step back from her career to focus on her health.
Earlier today (Jun. 28) Guy Oseary – Madonna’s talent manager and producer – revealed via Instagram that she recently spent several days in the ICU due to a “serious bacterial infection.” He continued,
“Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.”
He added,
“At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

According to reports, the “Material Girl” singer was gearing up for her Celebration World Tour, which was set to kick off next month. At this moment, it’s unclear when the tour will officially start. However, a source did reveal that the 64-year-old entertainer is “out of the ICU now and recovering.”
Many celebrities and fans of Madonna have taken to social media to share well wishes for the singer. One fan wrote,
“The whole world needs you, please be well, we need your good health again, I’m crying a lot! we need you !”
