Tiffany Haddish’s Former Friend Files $1 Million Lawsuit Against Actress & Comedian Aries Spears Over Extortion Allegations

It looks like Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears have been hit with yet another lawsuit.

Tiffany Haddish’s ex-friend, Trizah Morris, is legally facing off against the actress once again – this time, over extortion claims and a defamation lawsuit.

The latest lawsuit comes roughly one year after Morris’ adult children sued Haddish and Spears for allegedly grooming them when they were minors to “perform in, film, record, publish, and distribute sexually inappropriate” material. Morris’ children claimed they were used by the comedians in inappropriate skits as minors. Their lawsuit accused the comedians of child sexual abuse.

In one of the skits, Morris’ daughter said Tiffany Haddish had her simulate oral sex while her brother was in a skit involving a pedophile.

Haddish and Spears called the lawsuit a “shakedown” and denied all allegations of wrongdoing.

In 2022, after the initial case was filed, Tiffany’s attorney said,

“Plaintiff’s mother, Trizah Morris, has been trying to assert these bogus claims against Ms. Haddish for several years. Every attorney who has initially taken on her case — and there were several — ultimately dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims were meritless and Ms. Haddish would not be shaken down. Now, Ms. Morris has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit. The two of them will together face the consequences of pursuing this frivolous action.”

The plaintiffs ultimately dismissed the case in September 2022. Following the dismissal, Morris’ daughter said,

“My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years – and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us. We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us.”

Now, in her new lawsuit, Morris has accused the comedians of making defamatory comments about her by claiming she attempted to extort them. She said the comedians, via their reps, made slanderous statements about her character, integrity, morals, and ethical values. In addition, Morris said Aries called her a “lying b—-.”

Morris claimed that her name and reputation were dragged through the mud on blogs and in the media. She said she was described as a cunning, conniving, deceitful ex-friend. In the suit, Trizah Morris said she contacted Tiffany and Aries’ attorney in February 2023 asking them to release a statement clearing her from the extortion claims.

According to Morris, the “Girls Trip” star allegedly called her on March 7, 2023, and told her,

“The media isn’t talking about it right now. I have four movies coming out this year and I am going to be doing a lot of press. If it comes up, I’ll be sure to mention it.”

However, Morris said that a reporter – who had recently done an interview with Tiffany – reached out to her and informed her that Haddish made negative comments about her.

In addition, Morris noted this entire ordeal has caused her to suffer personally, academically, professionally and financially. It has harmed her reputation and caused her to suffer from anxiety.

She is suing both Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears for $1 million.
