Britney Spears Reportedly Paying $10k A Month To Cover Estranged Husband Sam Asghari’s Living Expenses Following Split

Superstar songstress Britney Spears‘ pending divorce is already costing a pretty penny.

Recent reports claim the “Hit Me Baby One More Time” singer is spending around $10,000 a month on a lavish LA apartment for her soon-to-be ex-husband.

As we reported earlier this month, Britney Spears, 41, and her husband Sam Asghari, 29, recently called it quits after 6 years together. The former couple wed in a private star-studded ceremony back in June of last year. They were seemingly going strong until news of their divorce hit the internet. The musician and her ex both spoke publicly about the split on their social media pages. Spears alleged she could no longer “take the pain” and expected to be loved unconditionally, which was clearly more than what Asghari could give.

In part, she wrote:

“I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business !!! But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!! In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!!”

And continued:

“I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!!”

Asghari on the other hand took a less emotionally driven approach to commenting on their situation, writing:

Now, new details on the exes’ pending divorce are slowly being revealed. Despite having a prenup, it’s reported that Spears is covering the cost of Asghari’s expensive apartment as a gesture of good faith. The rental is reportedly in one of the city’s most high-end buildings, where the standard unit is $10,000. Reports claim, however, that Asghari allegedly worked out a deal to get an upgraded complex at the base price.

Apparently, Asghari’s lawyers have alluded to challenging the prenuptial agreement. If he’s successful, it’s speculated Spears would ultimately have to fork over several hundred thousand dollars in a settlement.

While the former couple reportedly aren’t on speaking terms, they have already determined how to split their shared pets. The Grammy Award winner is said to be keeping 4 of their 5 dogs while Asghari will take their Doberman Porsha to his new bachelor pad. No other details regarding alimony, property, or assets have been disclosed at this time.
