Tory Lanez’s Son’s Mother Sues Man After Being Involved In Horrific Car Accident That Allegedly Left Her w/ Permanent Disabilities
Raina Chassagne, the mother of R&B artist Tory Lanez’s six-year-old son, has filed a lawsuit against the driver allegedly responsible for her life-changing car accident.
According to RadarOnline, Raina Chassagne is suing a man named Angelo Perry Thrower, GEICO, and Vera Buick GMC for an unfortunate collision that took place in Florida.
Reportedly, Raina Chassagne is accusing Thrower of hitting her vehicle while she was riding in Pembroke Pines on December 6, 2022.
When speaking of the incident, she documented in the court proceedings,
“[Thrower] had a duty to operate and/or maintain the motor vehicle he was driving in a safe and reasonable manner to keep control of the vehicle so that the vehicle would not collide with any other vehicles or pedestrians.”
Chassagne added in the filings:
“[Thrower] carelessly and negligently operated and/or maintained the aforementioned motor vehicle so as to cause it to collide with the motor vehicle in which Plaintiff was a passenger.”
Additionally, the mother-of-one claimed she suffered “significant” and “severe” bodily injuries, resulting in a series of (seemingly) permanent disabilities, mental anguish, disfigurement, physical impairment, failure to enjoy life, hospital expenses, and loss of ability to earn income.
GEICO denied all wrongdoing and blamed it on Chassagne (allegedly) not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the occurrence.
Their response read:
“The plaintiff had available for use a fully operational seatbelt which, had it been properly utilized, would have substantially reduced or prevented the damages claimed by Plaintiff.”
However, the police report did list Thrower as the one responsible for the accident due to running a red light.
