Drake Is Raising Eyebrows After Seemingly Shading Megan Thee Stallion During Recent Performance

Drake seems to have love for a “real H-Town legend” named Megan, but it’s not Thee Stallion.

Drake is back in hot water with the public over the alleged shade he threw at Megan Thee Stallion during a recent concert. You may recall Drake previously faced backlash from Megan Thee Stallion’s fans for his joint “Her Loss” album with 21 Savage.

In the song “Circo Loco,” Drake raps:

“This b*tch lie ‘bout getting shot but she still a stallion / She don’t even get the joke but she still smiling.”

The line caught the attention of listeners as many said it was a clear reference to Megan Thee Stallion’s altercation with Tory Lanez. Megan was shot in the foot by Tory Lanez in the summer of 2020 following a party at Kylie Jenner’s house. The entire incident quickly became a hot topic that ignited debates on what occurred that night. 

Following the release of Drake’s project with 21 Savage, Megan called out rappers for attaching her to conspiracy theories. She fired back with:

“I know I’m very popular but y’all gotta stop attaching weak a– conspiracy theories in bars to my name lol N-ggas nor ho-s EVER address me or @ me WITH a fact or receipts. I AM CLOUT B-TCH keep sucking my p-ssy.”

Now, Drake has stirred the pot again with his latest mention of Meg. During a tour stop, Drake took a moment to give a special shout-out to a longtime friend ironically named Megan.

He said:

“I gotta give a shoutout to somebody in here that’s been with me since the beginning of my career. Her name is Megan. She’s been there with me since day one, like, real shit… Real H-Town legend. Shoutout to Meg.”

It would have been reasonable for someone to think he was referring to Megan Thee Stallion since she is also a Houston native. So to eliminate any confusion, Drake made it known that he was not talking about the “Savage” rapper. He added:

“Not that Meg, this Meg.”

Why the “6 God” appeared to take aim at Megan Thee Stallion is unclear. However, it may be the fact that he and Tory Lanez are both from Canada, but he has yet to directly address the issue.

One Drake fan who claimed to be in attendance at the concert commented about the remarks:

“I was there…He was not shading Meg…he was speaking to a woman in the crowd he knew from the beginning of his career & her name is ALSO Meg. He was responding to everyone by saying, Nooo not that Meg but this one here in the audience. Y’all be reaching!”

While others called out Drake, with one person saying: 

“Ohhh Chile to see so many “men” dissing her is disgusting.”
