‘RHOP’ Alum Monique Samuels And Chris Samuels Are Officially Divorced

Reality star Monique Samuels is no longer a married woman. 

Monique Samuels is officially single after a judge reportedly approved her divorce from Chris Samuels on Monday (Sept. 25) in Montgomery County, MD.

The mother of three filed for divorce from her now ex-husband, Chris Samuels, on Apr. 14. As previously reported, Monique Samuels broke her silence just months after “Love & Marriage: DC” fans speculated the split between the pair. The “Not For Lazy Moms” podcast host confessed at the time,

“We have grown so far apart.”

Chris Samuels remained pretty quiet once the divorce news was announced; however, on June 23, a source close to the co-parents stated,

“Chris Samuels was blind-sided when Monique Samuels filed for divorce on April 14 after eleven years of marriage. The former couple appeared on Real Housewives of Potomac for three seasons with their three children. It was lovely to watch them parenting Christopher, 10, Milani, 9, and Chase, 4.”

Reportedly, a source close to the former NFL player stated, 

“She completely shut off the marriage with no plan and there’s no clear strategy for what this looks like. They’ve been struggling for a while, but Chris was wanting to fight for the relationship.”

Though Chris was hopeful that he and Monique could repair their 11-year union, she made it clear that reconciliation was not foreseeable. The radio host revealed to viewers on Instagram Live that she was “miserable” and “It wasn’t just all on him.”

One thing the “Real Housewives Of Potomac” alums seemed to agree on during their public split was they both wanted what was best for their children. Monique reportedly stated, 

“Now, her kids are getting a healthy example of what a relationship is.”

Though the dissolution of their marriage seemed amicable, it is never good news when a couple decides to split. It’s even more unfortunate when children are involved. Hopefully, the exes will continue to co-parent healthily and lovingly.

Neither Monique nor Chris have not made any statements regarding the finalization of their divorce.
