‘RHOP’ Star Mia Thornton Separates From Husband Gordon Thornton After 11 Years Of Marriage

Another Bravo housewife’s marriage is coming to an end.

Last week “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Mia Thornton shared a special birthday post on Instagram dedicated to her husband Gordon Thornton who recently turned 71. Unfortunately, it seems things between the couple have gone south since then.

Today (Sept. 29) Mia Thornton, 38, shocked many by announcing she and Gordon have decided to separate. The former love birds married in 2012 and share two children together. They both also have one child from previous relationships. While speaking on where they currently stand, Mia Thornton said,

“Like all marriages, ours has had its ups and downs. At this time, Gordon and I are separated, but my family is my number one priority, and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure we are okay.”

She continued,

“We ask that you respect our privacy and give us the time and space to figure things out.”

At this time, it’s unclear why Mia and Gordon are no longer together, but, their marital issues will more than likely play out in the upcoming season of “RHOP.” In the recently released trailer for season 8, Mia said she “might have” married her estranged husband for his money and in another scene, she mentioned retaining a divorce attorney.

As you may already know, Mia isn’t the only Potomac lady whose marriage didn’t work. News broke yesterday (Sept. 28) that former “RHOP” couple Monique and Chris Samuels officially finalized their divorce. Bravo fans also witnessed Ashley Darby’s relationship with Michael Darby come to an end.
