Well, it looks like Sarunas J. Jackson has some business of his own to mind.

According to RadarOnline, ‘Insecure’ actor Sarunas J. Jackson is currently at odds with his co-star/ex, DomiNque Perry, over their five-year-old daughter, Zen.

Recently, Sarunas J. Jackson filed a ‘Petition to Determine Parental Relationship’ against actress DomiNque Perry, asking the court to grant him joint legal and physical custody of their baby girl.

DomiNque Perry has since followed up with a request that Jackson’s motion be denied. Court records recalled the ‘Rap Sh!t’ star insinuating that co-parenting with Jackson hasn’t been the easiest, but she has always maintained an equal playing field for each party involved.

She (allegedly) expressed,

“Despite the emotional volatility and intimidation that [Sarunas] has directed towards me, [I’ve been committed to] fostering a positive co-parenting relationship with [Sarunas] because I know that is in Zen’s best interest.”

Perry reportedly added:

“[Sarunas] has never been denied the opportunity to be involved in our daughter’s life in any capacity he desired.”

In response to Jackson’s claim that Little Zen has been living in California, which is (seemingly) where Jackson and Perry reside, Perry cited her plans to make Texas their resting place. She reportedly told the judge,

“While pregnant, I returned to Texas to deliver Zen. Zen was born in Houston, Texas. I maintain a home in the state of Texas and Texas is where I spend the great majority of my time. And because I have always been Zen’s primary caregiver, Zen travels with me and has exclusively lived with me making her permanent home in Texas as well.”

Having shared with her child’s father that she could no longer afford her home in California and had decided to move Zen (officially) to Texas, Perry recounted no push-back from Jackson on the matter. He subsequently opened the case against her, however, which halted her move. She is now trying to get the legal issue transferred to Texas.

She furthered by elaborating on Jackson’s “sporadic” visits to see Zen upon his “desire to see her” and her fear that the young girl may be left in questionable care due to Jackson’s busy career.

“Because [Sarunas] has attained a certain level of success in his career, he generally works and has to travel even more than I do. I am concerned with whom Zen may be left with in the face of his extended absences.”

As you may know, it’s been quite the month for Jackson, who’s the brother of singer/actress Keke Palmer’s son’s father, Darius.

The ‘Games People Play’ lead faced backlash after he made a cryptic post on X (formerly Twitter) defending Darius, who’s recently been accused of physically abusing Palmer.

The now-deleted post read:

“The most disgusting, vile, manipulative person I have EVER encountered in my entire life.. Abuses almost everyone. Y’all will see.. Just send positive energy to the babies.. Any child in the middle of something like this does not deserve it AT ALL. Wow. So d*mn sad.”

While some argued that he could’ve been speaking about his brother, things still didn’t end there, and an online feud between Jackson and Palmer’s mother (ultimately) ensueed.

The ‘Akeelah and the Bee’ icon made the disturbing abuse claims while filing for sole custody of their infant son, Leodis, and a restraining order against Darius.

When detailing an alleged altercation between the two where Darius became irate with Palmer after she wore a bikini to a party, she explained,

“In the bedroom, he slammed me on the floor and slapped my head from side to side. The next morning, he was standing at the bottom of the stairs near the front door, screaming at me as I was coming down the stairs. When I was almost at the bottom of the stairs, he grabbed me around the next and body slammed me back onto the stairs.”

Palmer later added:

“The abuse during our relationship was not just physical, but emotional and manipulative. So much of Darius’ abuse towards me throughout our relationship was based on his insecurity and jealously.”

The 30-year-old’s mother insisted that Jackson knew of his brother’s behavior toward her daughter, but he has denied any notion of such.

Amid the drama, Perry reposted the meme of legend Michael Jackson laughing and eating popcorn during a scene from his music video “Thriller” to her Instagram Story, and users took it as if she were finding comedy in Palmer’s situation.

However, Perry cleared the air and alluded that it was more so from an angle of being glad that those types of actions were being brought to light. Following her statement, many assumed that she’d been in similar circumstances with her ex, Sarunas.

She wrote:

“I would never laugh at ANYONE that is subject to domestic abuse female or male. As it’s known abuse comes in different definitions, silent and physical. Only the people enduring such behavior truly understand the effect.”

Perry concluded,

“I may not be at the highest platform in my career just yet to be heard and/or supported by the public, but whenever that time comes, everyone will listen.”
