Super star singer Beyoncé debuted her highly anticipated “Renaissance” movie over the weekend and highlights from the documentary have since been circulating the internet.

Reportedly, the songstress opened up about having surgery prior to touring, as well her daughter Blue Ivy experiencing the harshness of internet critics.

Beyoncé reportedly premiered the movie this past Saturday (November 26th) at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hill, California. A slew of famous faces, including the likes of Janelle Monáe, Lizzo, Halle Bailey, and Tyler Perry reportedly attended to view the feature, which is written, directed, and produced by the 32x Grammy award winner. The movie, officially titled “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé”, is a documentary style project that offers a behind the scenes look at the singer’s process and execution of putting on her widely acclaimed “Renaissance” world tour based on her 7th studio album. The movie is set to hit theaters nationwide December 1st.

As reporters have been giving their takes on the project, a few highlights have seemed to capture the attention of social media users. For one, it’s reportedly noted that Beyoncé, 42, speaks in the movie about undergoing knee surgery prior to kicking off the 56 show concert series back in May. One internet user claims to have noticed something was physically amiss with the song bird during her viral Dubai performance (which took place in January a few months before the tour began), writing:

“I could’ve sworn it was foot surgery! That’s why she was limping in Dubai”

Other users reacted to the part of the film where Beyoncé reportedly opens up about allowing soon to be 12-year-old Blue Ivy join her onstage. According to one report, the celebrity kid was initially only suppose to appear for a single performance. However, the mom of 3 was moved by her daughter’s commitment to get better after she read some of the negative things people had to say about her dancing.

If you recall, some social media users were quick to share their disapproving opinions on Blue Ivy’s performance, seemingly discounting her age and her newness to performing live. Many, however, came to the entertainer’s defense. Her supporters argued that people should give her time to get comfortable and refrain from being so abrasive with a child all together.

It seems those who took a positive bet on the young Carter won in the end, as fans applauded her notable progression once the tour concluded. Learning how she handled seeing the negative feedback, many applauded her even more for not quitting and shamed those who had anything to say in the first place.
