Update: T.I. Addresses Viral Physical Altercation w/ Son King: ‘Ima Ride To Da Heavens Or Da Depths Of Hell Bout My Jr’

Update: (Nov 29, 2023): A little family tussle isn’t coming between the Harris clan.

Over the weekend T.I. made headlines for a physical altercation with his 19-year-old son, King. The dispute was shared with the world by King, who live-streamed the entire situation. What seemingly started off as T.I. and others teasing King for claiming that he didn’t grow up “with a silver spoon in his mouth,” quickly turned physical as the young rapper became more irritated. At one point in the footage, T.I. appeared to grab King and yelled,

“You are embarrassing yourself!”

As King seemingly tried to fight back, his father added,

“Bruh, you can’t do nothing with me!”

Many have since taken to the internet to share their thoughts on the situation, however, the “Whatever You Like” artist isn’t bothered by what anyone has to say. T.I. recently addressed what went down with his family on Instagram. In part, he wrote,

“Fck what dis internet talkin bout… Da HFamily Tied Like a Knot We all We Got…4LIFE… Ima RIDE to da heavens or da depths of HELL bout my Jr.& ain’t nothing gon change that.”

Original Story: (Nov 27, 2023): There seems to be a lot of havoc in the Harris household right now!

Rapper T.I. and his son, King, got into a little tussle at the Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints game over the weekend.

T.I.

Apparently, on Sunday (Nov. 26), King and his mother, Xscape singer Tiny, were in the building with T.I., who was scheduled to perform, and (what appeared to be) some friendly banter about King’s upbringing ensued.

While the 19-year-old claimed that he didn’t grow up privileged and spent the majority of his childhood at his grandmother’s (Tiny’s mother, Diane) house, T.I. and Tiny argued that he (in fact) grew up “with a silver spoon in his mouth” and only went to Ms. Diane’s by choice.

If you recall, last month, in an interview with famed comedian Funny Marco, King revealed that he didn’t live with his parents during the taping of their hit VH1 reality show “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.”

He said,

“I lived with my grandma. You know, we’ll go to the house for like a weekend. They’ll say, ‘Hey, we shooting today; we need y’all at the house’ They’ll come get me from my grandma’s house and right after we done — when them cameras go off — I’m right back to my grandma’s house.”

In the now-viral clip of the Instagram Live, T.I. is heard asking King in an effort to (seemingly) prove his trench-like lifestyle,

“Have you ever woke up with a roach on your face?”

Although King didn’t give a straight answer, he retorted by saying that he grew up around other guys from his grandmother’s neighborhood who had.

He added:

“Y’all wanna go to the bando in Mammaw’s neighborhood? Do y’all wanna go to the bando?”

Later in the video, King furthered in mention of T.I.,

“To make [my father] look better, he says sh*t he knows not true! Silver spoon? I ain’t never ate with that a day in my life!”

Tiny then chimed in and debated King’s theory, basically affirming that he did come from the finer side of the tracks and hadn’t experienced the hard-knock life he proclaims.

Amid T.I. and Tiny “encouraging” King to be truthful about his upbringing, the teen continued:

“Used to have to run to my grandma’s house ’cause I’m getting into fights.”

T.I. replied,

“You cried like a baby to go to your grandmama’s house. You used to hold your breath and throw tantrums to go over there!”

Ultimately, King alleged that he wanted to get a feel of the day-to-day outside of their mansion gates, which is why he often opted to be with his grandmother. However, Tiny comically disputed that, claiming it was (instead) due to a then-over-the-age King not wanting to break away from his pacifier.

Things somehow escalated from there, and King yelled,

“He cappin’, he cappin’! He knows I stand on business! He knows that! Can’t no n*gga ever pull my card, ever in life! I stand on business!”

He proceeded:

“You wanna hide it for the world, I’ma put it out there for them to see!”

In conclusion, the discussion heated up to new heights, with King accusing his father of “lying” and being a “city n*gga.”

Ignoring his mother’s attempts to calm him down, the youngster approached her and stated,

“What’s wrong with y’all? Why y’all doing that to me? Y’all know me! You know I stand on business, you know I stand on business! Why you even letting somebody play with me like that? Why you letting somebody play with me like that? Why you letting him play with me like that?”

Tiny assured an irate King that it was all kicks and giggles, but it didn’t end there. Following T.I. reminding King that he was publicly “embarrassing himself,” the “Whatever You Like” lyricist (seemingly) grabbed his son, causing the broadcast to lose focus.

Subsequent to the altercation, King took to his Instagram Stories with some now-deleted subliminal posts about the situation.

He wrote,

“I Stand on BUSINESS. [I] DON’T GIVE A F*CK WHO U ARE.”

King expanded:

“IDGAF WHO U ARE MF CANT PLAY WIT ME N MY FACE NOT GOIN FOR [DAT] IM A GROWN A** MAN NOW.”

Additionally, in the midst of the debacle hitting the internet, he promoted his new track, “Grandma Boy.”

As of now, T.I. and Tiny have yet to speak out on the matter.
