Teyana Taylor’s Estranged Husband Iman Shumpert Awarded Temporary Parenting Time w/ Daughters Amid Divorce Battle
Looks like Iman Shumpert is ready to catch up on his daddy-daughter time.
As previously reported, Teyana Taylor’s divorce petition accused Iman Shumpert of being an insecure narcissist who became “more and more” angry about her work schedule, but then (allegedly) criticized the “A Thousand and One” actress for taking time off after she gave birth to their two daughters – Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr., 7, and Rue Rose Shumpert, 3.
Teyana Taylor also claimed Iman Shumpert left their Georgia residence back in October and hasn’t spent “significant” time with their children since, according to reports. She’s reportedly seeking temporary and permanent primary physical custody, plus joint legal custody and child support.
At this time, it’s unclear how the judge will ultimately break down their guardianship duties, however, according to a report from RadarOnline, Shumpert was recently granted temporary parenting time with his daughters until a final custody decision is reached.
Court documents obtained by the publication note that Shumpert was awarded 2-3 weekends per month with the young girls. Reportedly, he’s allowed to pick the children up directly from his ex’s home and must drop them off following the visitation. The temporary deal also granted Taylor Christmas with the girls. The current agreement will only remain valid until the judge determines who will be given permanent primary physical custody.
Taylor and Shumpert married in 2016 and the singer secretly filed for divorce earlier this year in January. According to the filing, Taylor expressed that, “she has been the primary caretaker of the parties’ minor children since their births and that it would be in the best interests of” their children to live with her.
She also alleged the girls often “appear to be disheveled” and “are not fed properly” while in Shumpert’s care.
