Exclusive: Megan Thee Stallion’s Former Best Friend Kelsey Nicole In Talks To Join “Love & Hip Hop: Houston”

theJasmineBrand exclusively reports that the mother-of-one is allegedly being scouted to join the “Love & Hip Hop” family. You may already know that Kelsey Nicole has a few notable ties to the music industry. In addition to being the ex-best friend of rap star Megan Thee Stallion, Kelsey Nicole’s baby’s father is Darien ‘Dboy’ Smith, who reportedly previously served as an exec at the “Cobra” artist’s former record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. In addition, he appears to be the manager of rising rapper Erica Banks.

You may recall that theJasmineBrand broke the news in April 2023 that Erica Banks joined the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” cast for season 11. Things seemingly went well for her first time on the series as she was tapped to return for the upcoming season, set to premiere on Jan. 9.

According to our sources, producers are now actively working to round out the cast for “Love & Hip Hop: Houston” and they believe Kelsey Nicole would make a great addition to the franchise. We exclusively reported in October of last year that the show was, once again, in the works. Kelsey Nicole was born in Texas and her father, the late 50 PAK, born Emmitt Harris, was a respected rapper in the Houston area. No word just yet on whether Kelsey Nicole signed on the dotted line or not.

As previously reported, Megan Thee Stallion and Kelsey Nicole’s friendship came to a screeching halt shortly after Megan was assaulted by Tory Lanez in 2020. The Canadian artist is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting the Grammy Award winner. Megan Thee Stallion has accused her former bestie of being paid off by the “Say It” artist a few times as Kelsey Nicole has yet to directly deny Tory Lanez’s claims that she was the shooter.
