Boosie Badazz Wants Judge To Lift No Contact Order Between Him & His Girlfriend Because They Are Planning To Get Married
Congratulations may be in order for rap star Boosie Badazz!
According to a recent report from legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff, the Louisiana native recently claimed that he’s planning to tie the knot soon with his girlfriend Rajel Nelson.

Reportedly, Boosie Badazz, real name Torence Ivy Hatch Jr. made the announcement during a recent court session for his felony gun case. The 41-year-old was reportedly pleading with U.S. District Judge Cathy Ann Bencivengo to lift the no contact order between he and his partner Rajel Nelson. Cuniff reports that the “Set It Off” artist has been prevented from contacting the 26-year-old since he was arrested on felony gun charges back in June of last year. If you recall, authorities detained the musician while he was in San Diego after he was spotted on an instagram live video with a gun on him.

However, Boosie recently motioned the judge to reestablish contact privileges with his fiancée as they are allegedly planning a wedding. He reportedly stated during the court session:
“Me and my fiancée was having a wedding. Do I need to set it back?”
He reportedly went on to interrupt the judge, who asked him to remain quiet, to further explain that his nuptials have been set for April 1st. The judge reportedly told him that if “a singular event” is set to happen while the no contact is in place, he can “certainly ask for the court to allow communication.”

According to Cuniff, the judge was initially sympathetic and seemed amenable about lifting the ruling. She explained that preventing Boosie from speaking with the partner he resides with seemed unnecessary as Nelson wasn’t present when he was originally arrested. She stated:
“This is his fiancée who he lives with. This seems like a fairly serious curtailment of his personal rights. And I’m not quite sure what the basis of it is other than the sort of vague assertion that she may have evidence,”

However, prosecutors reportedly “vehemently” opposed allowing Boosie and Nelson to have communication. After successfully requesting a side bar with the judge, Bencivengo reportedly extended the no contact order for an additional 60 days, but added:
“it will lapse at 60 days if there’s not additional evidence disclosed to defense as to why the condition should continue.”
Boosie and Nelson have seemingly been dating for awhile. The two first went public back in 2020 after they shared a kiss during a basketball game. Fans speculated they had broken up at some point when the rapper stopped regularly appearing in her social media posts, however.

Nelson, an actress, model, and social media influencer with over 284,000 instagram followers, has not hinted at nor commented about her engagement to Boosie at this time. It doesn’t seem that Boosie has commented about the situation publicly either.
