According to reports, President Joe Biden has set his sights on megastar Taylor Swift as one of the potential, high-profile backers of his 2024 campaign.

Allegedly, his camp has been in talks about grabbing celebrities and even social media influencers for this political run, with Taylor Swift‘s name (reportedly) at the top of the list.

But… it appears that President Joe Biden’s team has actually been pro-Taylor Swift for quite some time now. If you didn’t know, the uber-celebrated singer previously showed support for the 81-year-old in 2020.

She wrote in a then-tweet on Twitter (now X),

“I spoke with @vmagazine about why I’ll be voting for Joe Biden for president. So apt that it’s come out on the night of the VP debate. Gonna be watching and supporting @KamalaHarris by yelling at the tv a lot.”

The 34-year-old global sensation was also seen encouraging her fans to vote on her Instagram last year, bringing in a reported 35,000 new registrations.

Due to Swift’s unbelievable impact, Gov. Gavin Newsom (Biden’s surrogate) gushed after a Republican primary date in September,

“Taylor Swift stands tall and unique. What she was able to accomplish just in getting young people activated to consider that they have a voice and that they should have a choice in the next election, I think, is profoundly powerful.”

A co-sign from the chart-topping icon is anticipated to bring about million-dollar fundraising appeals and an extensive reach to people of all age groups.

Sources claim there’s even been a comical suggestion about Biden paying a visit to one of Swift’s American dates for her current ‘Eras’ tour around November.

While no one knows what the future will hold, a recent poll conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies proved that more people are likely to vote for a presidential candidate with Swift on their hip.

That aside, insiders say Biden is expecting to win people over by crafting a message that “paints” his rivalry, ex-U.S. leader Donald Trump, as “a mortal threat to American government and civil society.”
