Taylor Swift Makes $100,000 Donation To The Family Of DJ Killed At Kansas City Chiefs Parade: ‘Sending My Deepest Sympathies’
Pop star Taylor Swift made a significant contribution in the wake of the recent mass shooting in Kansas City.
The singer gifted $100,000 to the family of incident’s sole victim, and expressed her sincere condolences.

Taylor Swift, 34, left the donation on a GoFundMe campaign started for Elizabeth ‘Lisa’ Lopez-Galvan. In case you’re unfamiliar with the story, Lopez-Galvan was a popular DJ in the Kansas City area who was fatally shot while attending a parade dedicated to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory this past Wednesday (February 14th). Though at least 20 others were injured, Lopez-Galvan was the only one who succumbed to her wounds, prompting the donation from Swift.

Along with two $50,000 payments each, the singer left a message that read:
“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift”
Lopez-Galvan has been described as a music pioneer in the area, a devoted Catholic, and a dedicated Chiefs fan. Reportedly, she was one of the few Hispanic DJs in Kansas City and often played at local weddings, quinceañeras, and at an American Legion bar and grill. The GoFundMe page notes that she’s survived by her husband of 22 years and their two children. She was reportedly attending the parade with her spouse and son when she was killed.
Swift’s reaction to the tragedy comes shortly after her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his teammates also expressed their condolences. The 34-year-old NFL star, who has been dating Swift since September of last year, took to his X account (formerly Twitter) writing:
“I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me.”

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes added:
“Praying for Kansas City”

As we’ve been covering, police are still investigating what caused the horrific incident. It has been reported, however, that the shooting was the result of fighting between parade attendees and not an act of terrorism.
Recent reports stated that three individuals are currently in custody for their involvement in the incident with of them being juveniles. We will continue to update as more information comes forward.
