‘Love Is Blind’ Star Chelsea Blackwell Gets Dragged By Fans After Claiming She Looks Like Megan Fox On Love is Blind: ‘I Think You Need Therapy

A contestant from the ‘Love Is Blind‘ reality show has gone viral after she claimed she looked like a notable celebrity.

The Netflix series is a social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged before they meet in person. They do this by being in pods, which are small rooms where you can hear the person but can’t see them. After making connections in the pods, couples who decide to move forward get engaged, not knowing what their significant other truly looks like. They ultimately see one another following the proposal. 

During an season 6 episode that premiered Wednesday (Feb. 14), contestant Chelsea Blackwell told one of her prospects, Jimmy Presnell, that she’s often told she looks like a certain celebrity. She said while in the pods, 

“It’s just because I have dark hair and blue eyes. But I don’t see it, so don’t get excited.” 

Without mentioning the A-lister’s name, she added, 

“I don’t even know if it’s Machine Gun Kelly’s wife or his fiancée.”

Jimmy Presnell responded, smiling,

“You’re saying you look like Megan Fox?” 

Chelsea Blackwell replied,

 “It’s only because I have light eyes and dark hair.” 

Following the revelation, Jimmy Presnell proposed to Chelsea Blackwell, despite his feelings for another contestant, Jessica Vestal. Based on his reaction, it seemed as if Jimmy liked the idea of the North Carolina native resembling Megan Fox, even though he hadn’t seen her in person.

Viewers reacted on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), with some feeling she raised the bar too high with the comparison:

When he met her in person, Jimmy didn’t seem to agree with her suggested comparison to Fox.

In an episode titled “She Lied To Me,” Jimmy Presnell told the camera, 

“She definitely lied to me about some, uh, how she looked. Chelsea told me she looked like Megan Fox. At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter. I am very attracted to her. I can work with that.”

After social media bashed her after her lookalike claims, Blackwell seemingly made light of the comments. She posted a couple of TikTok videos of herself on Instagram.

One of the posts used a random music sound, with a caption that stated, 

“Go on a show to find love > get your a** dragged.”
