Druski Breaks Silence On Controversial 2022 Skit About Men Pressuring Women To Drink Excessively: ‘I Didn’t Want To Continue Triggering People’
Comedian Druski opened up for the first time about one of his skits that drew lots of criticism.

If you recall, back in 2022 Druski, real name Drew Desbordes, faced backlash for starring in a skit about men seemingly trying to get women drunk on purpose to take advantage of them. In the video shared on his social media page at the time, he poured extra liquor into a female’s cup and mouth throughout the night and quietly made comments like “I’m telling you they going” to his friend.

At the time, the internet personality opted not to publicly speak about the criticism and simply removed the video from his page. Now, Druski suggested he initially didn’t see anything wrong with the joke as it was true to his brand. He stated during a recent interview:
“I think I just played the character too well.”

Adding:
“I was like, ‘Yo, you have to remember this is the same stuff that I’ve been doing. This is my comedic voice.’”
The jokester went on to share why he decided to delete the post, stating:
“I didn’t want to continue to trigger people…It’s always coming from a good place.”
Druski mentioned that his content has always, and will continue to, joke about the way humans behave. While his critics argued that the skit made light of rape culture, others defended the comic and expressed that some men needed to be checked about the way they act. No matter what side people took, it seems the skit ultimately inspired thoughtful discourse about the topic.
