Update: (Mar. 5, 2024): Lupita Nyong’o and Joshua Jackson have finally confirmed what many have been speculating for months.

Recently the pair was spotted in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, seemingly on a couple’s trip for Lupita’s 41st birthday. As you may recall, they have been getting closer following the announcement of Jodie Turner-Smith filing for divorce from her soon-to-be ex-husband, Joshua back in October. Initially, it was reported that the two had been friends for years and their public outings were strictly platonic, however, that no longer seems to be the case.

While in Mexico, paparazzi captured the entertainers holding hands on the beach and sharing a few passionate kisses. A witness of the love birds’ trip shared,

“They looked madly in love.”

They added,

“Like, they just couldn’t get enough of one another.”

No word yet on how Jodie feels about Joshua moving on so quickly, but, there’s a strong chance she may not care. During a recent interview speaking about their divorce for the first time, she said,

“We obviously had such a beautiful moment together. And now it’s time for a new moment for both of us. And how exciting! The bravest thing in the world is to recognize when something’s not working and to make a move, and I always want to set that kind of example for my daughter.”

Update: (Dec. 7, 2023): There seems to be something more than friendship brewing between Lupita Nyong’o and Joshua Jackson.

In October rumors surfaced that Lupita Nyong’o was in a new relationship with “Dawson’s Creek” actor Joshua Jackson. At the time, both entertainers were newly single, with Jodie Turner-Smith filing for divorce from her husband of almost 4 years and Lupita Nyong’o revealing she was no longer with TV personality Selema Masekela.

Initially, insiders claimed Nyong’o and Jackson had been friends for years and their outing was strictly platonic. However, things have clearly changed since then. Yesterday (Dec. 6) images of the pair holding hands while out on a romantic stroll hit the internet. The pictures, which seemingly confirmed they’re dating, were taken in Joshua Tree, California. Both celebs appeared to be all smiles as they casually walked around the area.

No word yet when they decided to transition into being more than friends, however, things between them seem to be going well as this was the second time this month they were spotted spending time together.

Original Story: (Dec. 5, 2023): Lupita Nyong’o and Joshua Jackson seem to be keeping a low profile on their (alleged) relationship.

In photos obtained by TMZ, actress Lupita Nyong’o appeared to make an unsuccessful attempt at ducking out of view of paparazzi when arriving at a grocery store in Los Angeles with fellow actor Joshua Jackson. The Oscar-winner can be seen scooched down in the passenger seat of Jackson’s vehicle, seemingly to avoid being caught on camera with the Canadian actor.

According to reports, the pair allegedly went on their grocery store run together. However, despite being spotted with one another, Joshua Jackson proceeded to go into the establishment solo, while the “Black Panther” star entered the store a reported few minutes later.

Lupita Nyong’o, 40, and Jackson, 45, have yet to confirm or deny a romantic relationship. However, it’s reported that the entertainers have been friends since at least 2018. Their friendship in particular raised eyebrows when the two were spotted at singer Janelle Monáe’s concert back in October.

The concert outing between Nyong’o and Jackson caused many to speculate that their friendship had developed into something more since both entertainers were newly single. Nyong’o — who was in a relationship with TV personality Selema Masekela earlier this year — shared her breakup via social media the same day she attended the concert with Jackson and a group of their friends.

On the other hand, Jackson’s estranged wife, actress/model Jodie Turner-Smith, 37, filed paperwork to split from the “Dawson’s Creek” star in early October. They were married for three years and share one child.

Despite Nyong’o and Jackson both being back on the market, reports claim there was no PDA or anything romantic going down between them throughout the night of the concert.
