North West Causes Uproar Online After Announcing ‘Elementary School Dropout’ Album: ‘Kim & Kanye Should Have Child Protective Services Knocking On Their Doors’

On Sunday (March 10), North West took to the mic at her father’s listening party for his anticipated album, ‘Vultures 2,’ and revealed that she’s been working on an album of her own.

In a now-viral clip, North West, 10, is seen with Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) on stage, as she gushes to the audience in Phoenix, Arizona,

“Hi! It’s Northie… and I’ve been working on an album.”

North continued:

“It’s called Elementary School Dropout!”

The internet-breaking news comes only weeks after North became one of the youngest musicians to chart on Billboard’s Hot 100 for her feature on “Talking,” a track from Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s joint album, ‘Vultures 1.’

Over the catchy beat, North raps,

“It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie / Don’t try to test me / It’s gonna get messy, It’s gonna get messy / Just, just bless me.”

The official video for “Talking” currently holds over 17 million views on YouTube.

Along with the audience’s eruption to North’s announcement, social media has since weighed in with various opinions. As you may know, Ye lit up the music scene with his debut full-length, The College Dropout, in 2004.

Although some of the chatter surrounding North’s forthcoming project has been filled with fans anxiously waiting to see what she’s been cooking up in the booth, most couldn’t help but point out the title.

Many users felt it could serve as a bad influence on other children, while some mentioned comparisons between North and Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s oldest daughter, Blue Ivy. (Blue Ivy has also been making moves in the entertainment industry, specifically with her Grammy-winning participation in Beyoncé, WizKid, and SAINt JHN’s “BROWN SKIN GIRL.”)

An individual posted to their X account,

“Poor North West. Horrible parents. Let her be a kid you greedy a$$hats. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West should have Child Protective Services knocking on their doors. What kind of album name is that? You disgust me, truly.”

Another person wrote:

“Kanye wants that little girl to follow in his footsteps so badly…His 1st album was college dropout. But one thing is true, North West rarely attends elementary school. I kinda think Kanye is jealous of Blue Ivy’s success, with her mom.”

No word on what Kim Kardashian thinks of all of this just yet.
