Gypsy Rose Blanchard Sues Blogger For Allegedly Releasing Her Medical Records

recently-freed Gypsy Rose Blanchard is learning the hard way that everyone can’t be trusted.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the 32-year-old has filed a lawsuit against a blogger, alleging the woman subjected her to fraud, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, defamation and false light against her. The blogger, Franchesca Macelli, real name April Johns, reportedly first met Gypsy Rose Blanchard in 2017 while she was still incarcerated. As you may already know, Gypsy Rose Blanchard was sentenced to ten years in prison after being convicted of second-degree murder for the death of her abusive mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. In December 2023, following eight years behind bars, Gypsy Rose was released on probation.

Allegedly, Macelli initially contacted Gypsy Rose and claimed she’d be able to produce projects surrounding the Louisiana native’s life story that would make her and her family lots of money. Trusting what she was told, Gypsy Rose reportedly signed a life rights agreement with Macelli and filled the blogger in on everything for the next two years. The information provided included medical records and crime scene photos from her mom’s murder, according to the suit. However, after realizing Macelli could not uphold her end of the deal, Gypsy Rose and her family cut ties with the blogger, and that’s when things allegedly went south.

The woman seemingly became spiteful and went on a hate campaign against Gypsy Rose, alluding to her following that the victim of Munchausen by proxy was lying to the public. It’s also alleged that she posted online some of the confidential information Gypsy Rose provided such as her medical records.

Gypsy Rose has asked for an emergency restraining to stop Macelli from speaking about her. A hearing has reportedly been scheduled for this week.
