Donald Trump Says Taylor Swift Is ‘Unusually Beautiful’ & Questions If Pop Star Is ‘Legitimately Liberal’

Looks like Donald Trump is an admirer of Taylor Swift.

The convicted politician declared the pop star “unusually beautiful” in his recently released book and questioned whether or not her “liberal” views are just for show.

Reportedly, Donald Trump shared his thoughts about Taylor Swift’s appearance in his novel Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass. In one excerpt from the book, published on Monday (June 10th), the 77-year-old stated:

“I think she’s beautiful — very beautiful!…I find her very beautiful.”

In a conversation with the author of the book — Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh — he continued,

“I think she’s liberal…She probably doesn’t like Trump. I hear she’s very talented. I think she’s very beautiful, actually — unusually beautiful!”

As Donald Trump noted, Taylor Swift has not been shy in the past when expressing her liberal-leaning political views, nor her disdain for the businessman himself, though he opted to leave that part out. If you recall, the two had a heated online exchange during his re-election campaign ahead of the end of his first presidency in 2020, when Swift famously vowed to vote him out of office.

Trump’s latest remarks about the 34-year-old come ahead of another presidential cycle, where he’ll presumably be facing off against current president Joe Biden. Reports from earlier this year claimed that the Biden administration is hoping to secure support from Swift, though she’s been mostly mute about politics as of late. The “Blank Space” singer previously endorsed Biden, as well as Tennessee Democratic candidates Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives back in 2018.

However, amid his chat with Setoodeh, Trump surmised that Swift’s liberal persona is likely just an act, stating:

“She is liberal, or is that just an act?…She’s legitimately liberal? It’s not an act? It surprises me that a country star can be successful being liberal.”

It does not seem that Swift has reacted publicly to Trump’s remarks about her at this time.
