Ice Spice Says Drama w/ Latto Is ‘A Joke’ The Atlanta Rapper ‘Just Dragged Out’
Looks like Ice Spice is waiting for Latto to realize that she’s over their rumored ongoing beef.
Speculation that the two rappers aren’t the best of friends has been swirling for some time now. The drama between the ladies only grew after Ice Spice, real name Isis Gaston, 24, dropped a diss record earlier this year seemingly aimed at Latto titled “Think U the Sh*t (Fart).” In the song she raps,
“Think you the sh*t, b*tch?
You not even the fart (grrah)
I be goin’ hard (grrah)
I’m breakin’ they hearts, like
B*tches be quick, but I’m quicker (like)
B*tches be thick, but I’m thicker (like)
She could be rich, but I’m richer (d*mn)”
Following its release, Ice Spice claimed she made the record after noticing the Atlanta native had her music video for the song “Pretty Girl” playing in the background on TV in a video previewing the now-released track “Sunday Service.” In a subsequent interview, Latto, real name Alyssa Stephens, 25, explained that she meant no shade by the situation and did not intentionally turn on Ice’s video when giving a sneak peek of her own record. However, she still got in the booth and fired back with,
“These b*tches corny, soon as monkey see, then you know monkey do
Do you rap or do you tweet? ‘Cause I can’t tell, get in the booth, b*tch (b*tch)
Stop all that motherfuckin’ yellin’, h*e (yellin’, ho, why?)
‘Cause I ain’t buyin’ what you’re sellin’, h*e (sellin’, ho)
Think I’m the sh*t? B*tch, I know it, h*e
Jesus walked on water, I got ice boilin’ though (aha)”
During a newly published interview with Rolling Stone, Ice addressed her feud with Latto and said,
“I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me.”
She continued, claiming she was not the one dragging their dispute out.
“I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U the Sh*t’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of sh*t cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me … again.”

The cake situation Ice mentioned appears to be about a poop emoji cake Latto shared online with the wording “Holy sh*t, you’re headlining” to celebrate being the first woman tapped to headline Atlanta’s Birthday Bash summer concert.

Latto also recently spoke about the Ice beef with Billboard. When asked if she could see herself doing a full-out Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake-type battle with Ice, she said,
“If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like I’ma go tit for tat with. I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef.’”
