Tina Knowles Is 1 Step Closer To Finalizing Divorce From Richard Lawson

Tina Knowles is nearing the end of her divorce from Richard Lawson.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, the beloved businesswoman and fashion designer has handed over a final list of her income and expenses and information about her assets to Richard Lawson. The Guess Who actor should be next in line to do so as the report notes that he hasn’t filed paperwork confirming he turned over his financial information. For those unaware, the court requires the exchange of finances before a divorce can be finalized.

As previously reported, Tina Knowles — mother of famous entertainers Beyoncé and Solange – filed for divorce from actor Richard Lawson in July 2023 after eight years of marriage. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Around the time of their breakup, an interview clip of the former couple resurfaced, which sparked an online debate on their compatibility. In the video, Tina Knowles noted that she received “pretty much” what she wanted in a partner after praying for her type. She added,

“Is he perfect? Absolutely not, but he has a lot of qualities –”

Lawson interjected with “No?”

And Knowles truthfully responded “No” before finishing her remarks.
