Update: Cardi B Confirms She’s Given Birth To A Baby Girl!

Update: (Sep 12, 2024): Cardi B is officially a mother of 3!

Moments ago the rapper shared on IG a post confirming whispers that she welcomed her newest addition into the world sometime last weekend. Sharing the joyous news, Cardi posted a carousel of images with the caption,

“The prettiest lil thing — 9/7/24 –“

In the special moments from her birth Cardi shared online, fans can see her estranged husband Offset, older children Kulture (6) and Wave (3), and her sister Hennessy were all in attendance.

A source close to the couple said the “Bongos” artist gave birth to a baby girl over the weekend.

The source told AllHipHop that Cardi B, real name Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, 31, had a baby girl on Saturday (September 7th) after being induced. It was unreported whether Offset, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, 32, was present for the birth. The pair have been married for six years and share two other children: daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 3, who celebrated his birthday on the 4th of this month.

Cardi B and Offset reunited for their son’s celebration, which happened days after reports claimed that Cardi was intent on moving forward with their divorce. As we recently covered, the Grammy Award winner simultaneously announced her pregnancy and seemingly addressed her split from Offset via an Instagram post back in August, with documents confirming she filed paperwork to end their marriage.

She wrote in the post:

“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all!”

She added:

“You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”

It doesn’t appear that Cardi nor Offset have confirmed rumors of the baby’s birth. Both of the musicians’ latest Instagram posts were uploaded to their respective Instagram stories around 22 hours before the time of this writing.
