Exclusive: Carol Maraj, Nicki Minaj’s Mother, Is Launching Her Own Lingerie Line

theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports that Carol Maraj, the mother of rap star Nicki Minaj, is weeks away from launching her very own lingerie line.

Carol Maraj Collections is set to drop next month on October 27th. The pricing will range between $65 to $95 and the items will be size-inclusive, offering pieces in a small and going up to a 1X.

Speaking with theJasmineBRAND, Carol Maraj shared that she wanted to start a lingerie line because she feels too many “mature women are just throwing in the towel” when it comes to their sexuality.

She continued,

“So I want to do this mostly for the mature woman who need to step up. They need to see how beautiful they really are.”

Carol Maraj also briefly touched on her daughter Nicki Minaj and how she’s impacted the celeb’s mindset.

“I inspire Nicki probably, but we both think alike. We are businesswoman, and I have always been like that. I always wanted to do different stuff.”

Migrating from Trinidad, Carol Maraj is the founder of the Carol Maraj Foundation and was honored at the non-profit 5th annual Women Who Influence Pink Apple Gala & Awards Brunch in Brooklyn held at the Roulette Theatre on Sunday (Sep. 15).

The mother of three wants her story to inspire other immigrants who desire to head their own businesses.

“It was very important for me to come to the states as an immigrant because I come from very humble beginnings. I come from having my own businesses with my gown collection. I just want to encourage Trinidadians and other Caribbean women to say if Carol Maraj can do it I can do it also.”

As to what is her favorite part of her body, Maraj expressed,

“Honestly, my brain is my favorite part. I like to know that my mind is going that is the best part of my body.”

And when it comes to her go-to sexy color when it comes to lingerie, she shared,

“I love pink and red. Those have always been my colors. Red, white and black is Trini to the bone colors.”

Maraj also has a perfume launch coming sometime this fall.

“Yes by the fall my perfume line will launch. I am really into beauty. Everyone’s telling me I should do more. I already have a wig line ‘Elegantly Carol’ and everyone is telling me that I should do a skin care line as well.”
