Nicki Minaj Announces New Album ‘Pink Friday 3’, Ditching Deluxe Edition Of ‘Pink Friday 2’
Nicki Minaj has ditched the deluxe and announced a brand new album.
On Sunday, Sept. 15, the 41-year-old rapper surprised her fans with the revelation that she’s scrapping plans for a deluxe edition of her album Pink Friday 2 and will instead do a brand-new release.

Nicki Minaj revealed her decision on X (formerly Twitter), explaining that the new album will be a continuation of her beloved Pink Friday series:
“Instead of doing a DELUXE to Pink Friday 2, I’ve decided to do a brand new album. I’ll announce the new date within the next couple weeks. The new music is just too good to be thrown away on a deluxe album.”
On her recently recorded tracks, she said,
“Last night, the songs I recorded were just way too iconic. I love you guys so much. You know that. I know you do. I’ll still give you something leading up to the announcement, so no worries.”
Exciting fans about the new project, which she appears to be titling Pink Friday 3, she concluded:
“PF3 is about to do PRECISELY wtf BEEN needed to be done. TRUST ME BARBZ. I’M SO EXCITED.”

Minaj’s announcement comes as she wraps up the second U.S. leg of her Pink Friday 2 Tour; despite controversies such as delayed concert start times and allegations of lackluster performances, she continues to draw crowds with upcoming tour dates in San Antonio, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, and her hometown of Queens, NY.
