Chris Brown Domestic Violence Doc Announced By Same Network Behind ‘Quiet on Set,’ Will Feature Claims From New Accuser
A documentary looking into the domestic violence allegations surrounding Chris Brown is in the works. The program comes from Investigation Discovery (ID), the same network behind the Nickelodeon child abuse exposé “Quiet on Set.”
According to the logline,
“Chris Brown: A History of Violence” will chart “Chris Brown’s past all the way back to his troubled childhood, explore the lasting impact of the cycle of abuse, and pose the question: how does a man with such a violent public record maintain his superstar status? With expert and cultural commentary layered throughout, the documentary provides thoughtful reflections into each survivor’s experience and the psychological destruction in the aftermath of their abuse.”

It will also include claims from a new accuser, whose identity is hidden. They say in the trailer,
“I have not spoken about this matter publicly, but that’s the only way he can be stopped.”
In 2009, Chris Brown made headlines for physically attacking his then-girlfriend, singer and businesswoman Rihanna. He ultimately pleaded guilty to felony assault and accepted a plea deal of community labor, five years of probation, and domestic violence counseling. He was also accused of making threatening remarks to another ex, Karrueche Tran. In 2017, the actress was granted a 5-year restraining order against Chris.

More recently, CB was sued for allegedly beating up a group of men alongside his crew. The alleged victims — Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and Da Marcus Powell — are seeking $50 million and restraining orders against their alleged attackers — CB, Yella Beezy, and Sinko Ceej.

A security guard also sued CB and Yella Beezy for $15 million, claiming he obtained severe injuries while trying to break up the fight, which occurred backstage at Chris Brown’s concert.
Chris Brown: A History of Violence drops on Oct. 27.
