Tia Mowry On Why She Didn’t Tell Twin Sister Tamera Mowry About Her New Reality Show: ‘Do You Tell Your Brother & Sister Everything?’
Tia Mowry is addressing why her twin sister Tamera Mowry was unaware of her new reality show, Tia Mowry: My Next Act.
In a recent interview, Tia Mowry downplayed keeping Tamera Mowry in the dark, saying,
“That’s normal. I mean, do you tell your brother and your sister everything? It doesn’t mean anything. There’s nothing loaded. She’s living her life, I’m living my life.”
The twins’ bond has come under scrutiny after a scene from Tia Mowry’s show featured her expressing that she wishes she were “still close” to Tamera Mowry, adding,
“[I wish] I could pick up the phone and call her, but that’s just not where we are right now.”
Tia later clarified that her feelings stem from their physical distance; while she is in Los Angeles, Tamera lives about 400 miles away in Napa Valley. She explained,
“I feel like as we grow up, we all start our own families… and take on new roles and responsibilities. I love my sister very much. We have a closeness and a beautiful connection. It’s just how life unfolds.”
If you can remember, back in May, Tamera commented on Tia’s new show, stating,
“I didn’t know [about the show] until I found out with the rest of the world.”
When asked if she would appear on the show, Tamera humorously replied,
“She didn’t ask me. So I take that as no!”
