Frank Ski Reflects On Wanda Smith’s Final Days: ‘She Wasn’t Doing Well’

Frank Ski is opening up about the passing of his longtime friend and radio co-host Wanda Smith, sharing that she “wasn’t doing well” ahead of her death.

In a recent interview with Fox 5 Atlanta, Frank Ski revealed,

“It hit me pretty bad. I heard that she wasn’t doing well. She was a very private person, and I never expected that. It was tough.”

Frank Ski and Wanda Smith shared a special bond, co-hosting “Frank and Wanda in the Morning” on V-103 for years. Describing their relationship, Frank said,

“It was almost like a husband and wife thing. She was my real at-work wife. She looked out for me like that. Our families were close like that. We knew everything about each other like that. We just lived in two different houses.”

Wanda Smith’s legacy will be remembered for her generosity, with Frank noting,

“She will go down in the history of Atlanta as one of the biggest givers the city has ever seen.”

When asked about her cause of death, Frank explained,

“She was so private that myself, Rickey Smiley, and others wanted to do a fundraiser for her, and she shut it down. She would not let us do it.”
