Cam Newton Admits It ‘Hurts’ Not Being Able To Provide The Same Lifestyle For His Kids Post-NFL
Former NFL star Cam Newton, 35, opened up on “Special Forces” about his struggles since leaving professional football in 2021.
The ex-Carolina Panthers quarterback admitted that transitioning away from the NFL has impacted his ability to provide for his eight children: Chosen, Camidas, Cashmere, Caesar, Sovereign-Dior, Shakira, Jaden, and a baby girl born in 2024.
“It hurts me knowing that I can’t provide like I once did,” Cam Newton shared. “It hurts thinking that I’m Superman, but in reality, I’m just a man.” Reflecting on this life phase, he added, “At 35, I’m getting prepared for this next chapter.”
Cam Newton shares four children with ex-girlfriend Kia Proctor, two with photographer LaReina Shaw, and one with current girlfriend Jasmin Brown. Known for his devotion to fatherhood, Newton previously wrote, “Being a dad comes from the heart.” Now, he focuses on redefining his role off the field.
