UPDATE: ‘Walk It Out’ Rapper DJ Unk Passed Away After Heart Attack

Update (Jan. 27, 2025): DJ Unk’s cause of death has been revealed, with his wife Sherkita Long-Platt sharing that he died after a heart attack.

She told TMZ that the rapper, whose real name was Anthony Leonard Platt, died in his sleep, not a dr*g overdose as some have speculated.

A vigil was held in his honor yesterday (January 26), days after Sherkita Long-Platt confirmed his passing on Facebook.

Original Story (Jan. 24, 2025): DJ Unk, also known as Big Unk, the man behind the 2006 megahit, “Walk It Out,” has passed away. Not many details are known about his passing, though multiple outlets have confirmed the tragic news.
